Important Golf Course Info


Golf attire is permissible in all areas of the Clubhouse. 

Shorts are permitted but styling must be in line with what is commonly referred to as “golf attire”.  Please no cargo shorts. All golfers are requested to remove hats inside the Clubhouse and have the hat bills facing forward when worn outside.  Shirts should remain tucked in at all times. Ladies are allowed to wear hats inside at TPC Sugarloaf and Golf Club of Georgia. 

Upon completion of play, members and guests are permitted to change from golf attire into country club casual attire, which includes denim.  Country Club appropriate denim is defined as properly sized, in excellent condition, and consistent in color. Country Club appropriate denim does not include holes or rips, frayed material, denim shorts, work type denim shirts, bibs, painter pants, or jeans that are worn extremely low cut. Tasteful and appropriate shirts and shoes must be worn. Shirts should be tucked in unless tailored for outside wear.


The pace of play for groups of 4  hours.


Cellular Phone use is not permitted on the golf course or in the clubhouse. If you must use your phone, please do discreetly. 


East Lake Golf Club Specific


There is a 25-pound weight limit on golf bags. Should a golf bag exceeds this limit, a lighter weight bag may be substituted at no charge.


East Lake is a walking-only golf club. Golf Carts are available only to those who have a State Issued Handicap Certificate.


All services provided by East Lake are complimentary. Therefore, East Lake Golf Club has a NO TIPPING policy for all employees. This includes the Locker Room Attendants, Caddies, Golf Professional Staff, Valet Attendants, and Food & Beverage Staff.


All dinners in Atlanta are normal restaurant attire, no jackets are required. The Thursday night at Augusta Country Club is the only night that there is a dress code. Country Club attire is required and no denim. You can wear what you wore at the Masters that day or bring clothes to shower and change at Augusta Country Club. Most people will be coming straight from the Masters.

Average April temperatures in Augusta range from highs around 80 degrees to lows around 50 degrees. Cool clothing, hats, and sunscreen are recommended on warm, sunny days.

Prohibited Items List

Cell phones, cellular capable devices, beepers, electronic devices and tablets are strictly prohibited on the grounds at all times. Cameras are strictly prohibited on Tournament days. Violation of these policies will subject the ticket holder to removal from the grounds and the ticket purchaser to the permanent loss of credentials.

  • Any device capable of transmitting video
  • Backpacks, Bags and Purses larger than 10” X 10” x 12” (in its natural state)

  • Weapons of any kind (regardless of permit)

  • Flags/Banners/Signs
  • Strollers

*Cameras (still photography/personal use only) are allowed on Practice Round days-Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Note: The Masters Tournament Committee may prohibit other items at its discretion.

General Safety and Weather Warnings

For your personal safety, we ask that you exercise due care at all times. Also, please be reminded that under wet conditions the grounds may become slippery; take appropriate precautions.

Please observe all scoreboards/message boards for the WEATHER WARNING sign shown here. This sign will appear in advance of inclement weather as information becomes available. When the sign appears, you are advised to take precautions even before play is suspended. Suspension of play will be signaled by the sounding of an air horn or similar alert. Seek shelter immediately upon hearing the alert. During periods of inclement weather, you should avoid the following:

  • Bodies of water
  • Golf carts 
  • Hilltops and high places
  • Isolated trees
  • Observation stands
  • Open areas
  • Wire fences


Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn at all times. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.

Autograph Policy

For everyone’s safety and protection, there will be a NO AUTOGRAPH POLICY enforced on the golf course for the practice and Tournament days. Autograph seeking is only allowed around the Practice Range and on the Par 3 course during the Par 3 Contest. It is expected that all parties (patrons, press, players, etc.) will comply.

Re-Entry Policy

Patron Tickets will be limited to a total of three entries per day.


No animals or pets are allowed onto the grounds except animals necessary and specially trained to assist or guide the physically impaired.
