St. Regis Punta Mita Challenge

Tournament Format 

The St. Regis Punta Mita Challenge is a Pro/Am with touring professionals that compete on the major worldwide tours. The event will consist of three rounds on award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature championship courses at the Punta Mita Golf Club. Amateurs will play alongside their touring professional partners in different formats over the three-day competition. 

 

Pro/Am Team Format:  Teams consist of one PPG Touring Professional and three amateur partners. Each round will consist of a different daily format including one best ball, scramble, and two best ball (one gross and one net) providing a four round team total. Amateurs will play with their respective USGA or R&A handicaps which will be adjusted for each type of daily format. 

Round 1 Pacific Course: One best ball (80% Handicap)

Round 2 Bahia Course: Scramble (10% Handicap)

Round 3 Pacifico Course: Two Best Ball - One Gross and One Net and cannot be the same ball (90% Handicap)

Scoring: Over the three days of competition, four scores will be totaled to give each team a four round total with will be used to determine the St. Regis Punta Mita Challenge Champion. 

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams at the conclusion of the event. Daily prizes are also awarded to teams and individuals.
